Hello! I’m Janette, founder, creator and person behind the beads at Spirit Gemstone Jewellery.
I’m a bit of a dreamer, animal lover, and vegan with a love of colour creations.
I live on a small farm in Conyhurst West Sussex with my Partner and lots of animals, including our beloved dogs Ronny and Poppy the Jack Russell's and Bobby Beagle our wonderful rescued Puppy.
What began as a simple hobby has grown into Spirit Gemstone Jewellery, a space where I can share my passion for creating meaningful, colourful jewellery with anyone who loves a little extra sparkle in their life.
I love early morning walks with my dogs, and find time spent outdoors clears the mind for creative inspirations. My happy place is caring for my much-loved ponies, beautiful pedigree bunnies and ornamental bantams. I also run a bunny boarding service, a safe, happy home for rabbits while their owners are away.
My love of making things extends beyond jewellery, I spend much of my time woodworking and creating custom built rabbit hutches and runs to make sure every visiting bunny enjoys plenty of space and comfort. Whether it’s a piece of jewellery or a wood work project, I believe in putting the same care, creativity, and compassion into everything I make.
About the Jewellery
From my small and humble studio on our farm, I design and handcraft every piece using genuine natural gemstones, 925 sterling silver, and gold options. Each component is threaded by hand onto the strongest 49-gauge professional jewellery wire or high-quality elastic, and finished to your individual size. I pride my self on offering size inclusive jewellery with four standard size options in bracelets and necklaces. I can also create made to order sizes so please contact me if you need a size that is not listed. Because I make everything myself, each creation carries that authentic handmade touch, with orders often been made on the same day of receiving them.
I aim to offer something for many moods and styles, whether you’re drawn to a playful burst of colour or a subtle piece with a touch of gemstone sparkle. All designs are mixable and easy to layer, so you can create a combination that feels uniquely yours.
Every order arrives beautifully packaged in our signature lilac and silver box, a little unwrapping moment of joy. My hope is that your jewellery becomes something you reach for often, that feels special, lasting, and personal.
Materials used in our Jewellery
For our stretch stacking bracelets and beaded rings, we use the strongest, high-quality professional jewellery elastic available. It’s specially designed for jewellery making, soft and flexible yet highly resilient, so your bracelet moves naturally with you and keeps its shape over time.
For our necklaces and bracelets with clasps, we use the strongest professional 49-strand sterling silver or gold-plated jewellery wire.. This premium wire combines superior strength with a smooth, fluid drape, ensuring your jewellery feels comfortable and luxurious to wear while lasting beautifully.
Gemstones and crystals are all natural, giving that lovely spiritual and authentic feel to our jewellery.
925 Sterling Silver – Hall marked and made to last, our sterling silver offers a bright, timeless finish that’s perfect for everyday wear.
9ct Gold – Hallmarked for purity and authenticity, our solid gold pieces are made to be treasured for a lifetime, elegant, durable, and naturally radiant.
Gold Vermeil – A luxurious layer of real gold plated onto sterling silver. Gold vermeil gives you the warmth and glow of solid gold at a more accessible price. We only use high-quality plating for a longer-lasting finish.
14ct Gold Filled – The next best thing to solid gold. Gold-filled jewellery features a thick layer of pure gold that is permanently bonded to a brass core using heat and pressure. Unlike regular gold plating, it won’t rub off or tarnish and retains its rich golden colour for many years. It’s an excellent option for those who want lasting quality without the solid gold price
